The Romaco Group is one of Germany’s best 50 innovators among small and medium-sized enterprises. In the nationwide, intersectoral corporate benchmarking contest, the results of which have just been announced in “Wirtschaftswoche” magazine, Romaco was named runner-up in the “Process and Packaging Machinery” category. In the “Pharmaceutical Machinery” segment, the company was awarded first prize.

The Munich Strategy Group (MSG), a leading management consultant from Bavaria, conducted an empirical study to measure the innovative vitality of German SMEs in all industries. More than three thousand different enterprises participated, including twenty-five percent from the engineering sector. The 50 best innovation leaders were filtered out on behalf of “Wirtschaftswoche”, the prestigious business weekly. The crucial criteria assessed were firstly business performance, in other words financial indicators and market position, and secondly parameters for evaluating the culture of innovation, such as innovation strategies and innovation processes.
